How Marshal made his mark in the Uber Industry?

To stand out in a competitive market you have to be innovative in implementing your ideas in your services. Though the ideology may remain the same, the design and the way the consumers are benefited with your services is what that brings in revenue. To first get the attraction among the competitors either you must stand out with your service or must be a pro in the field. Say, as a fresher in the field, what can help you get to the competition in the market? Is it only the service? Or the method or the business model you choose? Well, as a note I can say that when you render a service which predominantly exists, it has to be more improvised and added a touch of your own flavor of idea and implementations to find a unique place in the crowd.

“Good design is innovative. It does not copy existing product forms, nor does it produce any kind of any novelty for the sake of it. The essence of innovation must be clearly seen in all the functions of a product.”

I gotta tell you how Marshal made a mark in the Uber Industry.

It was late in the noon that Marshal found his story in a reputed newspaper. His story of life in the Uber industry and how he made a mark in this taxi market. So, our Marshall owned a taxi company in New York where he had to struggle in the beginning to setup the system and business. Everything was pretty well working and it’s by this time that Marshal thought he could do something more through his business. The idea popped was that he could add an event management feature to his app. Does it sound crazy?? Well, actually it is so interesting!! Just imagine that when you can select an event in the application and in no time a cab arrives in front of you to drop you to the destination, that is the venue of the event! Now it’s the Marshal’s cars on demand with inclining increasing trips also making the revenue double with this feature on hit in the market. The feature renders the users with gift passes with which you can attend an event. Each of the pass gets a unique code generated which can be directly put on the users’ mail. In the users’ app page, when the code is supplied it is loaded with the nearby cabs which will come to pick you up for the show. Get your shoes and grab a cab soon while you make a click after entering the code. The interesting fact is that any user can create an event and the admin works on the generation of code for you which can be used as a pass by the users who desires to join an event.

“Innovation is the central issue in economic prosperity”

                                                                                                                                                     –Michael Porter

As Michael Porter’s words, the central issue in the economic prosperity is actually the ‘Innovation’. The leading role in the market for any product or service depends solely on the new and creative and innovative ideas and implementation. Be it a Uber industry or a mobile industry or anything that the consumer demands, we expect a uniqueness. That unique quality adds up when the innovation is successfully implemented.

I am posting few tips on how to start thinking innovatively!! May be you may sound this as a bit bizarre but you must know that when you innovate you should be prepared for people telling you that you are nuts!

  1. Make the Can’t to Can If: Every now and then we face problems in our life and get fed up with it. We then think that things can’t be made right and give up at one stage. To be optimistic, what if we find a short cut to solve the problem? We can survive! That’s exactly how you can land on new ideas the so called ‘innovative’ ideas.
  2. Interrogate impossibility: The word impossible itself says I’m possible. So there is no space for impossibility. It’s all the barriers kept by the humans on their capabilities. Start asking questions on the tasks or the things that you think its impossible. You may reach to an answer which may take a great turn towards the success.
  3. Give it a life: You may have a lot of new ideas and thoughts but unless you give that a life and give it a form there is no good of such innovative ideas.

“Innovation is change that unlocks new value”

                                                                                                                                                      -Jamie Notter

While talking about making the impossible possible, I relate to the massive evolution in the world of technology. Everything is now automated and is all about a matter of touch. So the future lies in a hand with which anything is possible beyond imagination.
